Shocking? First tell me who did it, and then I'll decide whether I'm shocked.

Too many fake things like this have happened.
Good to hold your outrage until complete story is learned.

I wonder if hoaxing a 'hate crime' gets you extra credit in some classes.

What if they had been Bibles or copies of Huck Finn. Cause for celebration, right?

I know people who would consider that a clever and edgy art project.

SPOILER ALERT [A Lefty did it.]

And I agree, probably a hoax.

Video will show who did it. Video is everywhere.

I agree it smells hoax-y.

Is that a crime? If not, why were the police involved?

It would be nice if campus police were as interested in students who committ openly bigoted acts accompanied by violence against speakers. In those cases they know exactly who is doing it but somehow cannot seem to make any arrests or have students even face any discipline.

So what?

Hoax or not - free speech in America includes toilet dunked Korans.

Mike Sylwester said...

Just another hate-crime hoax.

Get the finger prints off the Koran and then fingerprint all the Muslims on the campus. There will be a match.

The culprit probably will be the Moslem student who has been complaining the most about Islamophobia.

He has a a point. A substantial portion of modern American scholarship consists of taking admired and revered texts and dumping them in the toilet.

Were the police shocked shocked, or Captain Renault shocked?

A toilet was almost clogged by comic books and someone had to reach in and pull out the comic books before they clogged the toilet and that's national news until we find out it's just another hoax but in the meantime we are shocked shocked I tells ya.

Why is this a police matter and not the Department of Sanitation?

I am willing to bet it was a "hate crime" committed by right wingers just like this one in Charlotte was:

"Police in Charlotte, North Carolina, arrested the 32-year-old African-American for allegedly setting fire to a market owned by an immigrant from Bhutan. The arsonist left a note, which began: "Our newly elected president Donald Trump is our nation builder for white America."

"You all know that, we want our country back on the right track," he informed. “We need to get rid of Muslims, Indians and all immigrants. Specially, we don't want business by refugees and immigrant any more."
"We are ready to wake up some of our great state including North Carolina and we will take care of the country," he typed. "Immigrants and refugee are taking our job, doing business and leaving us standard. So, you are not allowed to do business any more."

After a "God Bless America" complementary close, the letter-writer identified himself as "White America." But the racist surveillance video shows a black American."

As was noted about the Charlotte story, in today's performance of Right Wing Hate Theatre, the part of the Right will be played by the Left.

It's not a crime of any kind to trash a Koran.

Toilet clogging is vandalism. Toilets are protected, Korans are not.

All is as it should be.

St George is right. The story of the actual slaughter of Christians and Jews by Muslims inspired by Islam is everyday news. This is not a shocking incident. What's shocking is that more of this doesn't happen to the koran which inspires so much hate and bloodshed around the world. Frankly, I'm glad it happened. If Muslims want to show reverence to this book, fine. The rest of us are under no obligation.

First this story: Toilet Clogged by Condoms Leads Austin Police to Prostitution Ring, and now toilets in Dallas are getting clogged with Korans?

Basil Duke said...

With that doe-eyed tong of Notre Dame Maoists trembling at the thought of Vice President Pence giving a commencement speech, don't we all have bigger things to worry about than an Islamic nutter dumping a few Korans in the shitter? I mean, come on, people! The mere thought of Vice President Pence standing at a lectern and giving a speech makes a handful of 22-year-old (soon-to-be) college grads - i.e., the future leaders of the nation - feel unsafe! Trump is the worst!!!!

Re: hoaxes. Front page story in today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about an alleged hijab-grabber at 6 am with stomping and knife-cutting of clothing (no description of any injury or hospitalization). The local mouthpiece of a women's Islamic group says the hater was inspired from the very top of the political heap. This one has hoax all over it.

Ths was no more than a proper reaction upon finding the books filed in the library's "non-fiction" section along with bibles.

When exposed as a hoax, this will become "wanting to start a dialogue on intolerance in Trump's America." Either way, canceled classes and discussion leaders with tilted heads and furrowed brows.

The hoaxers always think that white people think about whatever minority waaay more than we actually do.

I mean, people have their own lives - even someone who legitimately does hate Muslims or blacks or whatever - so even someone that doesn't like whatever minority rarely has time to stay up until 3am and risk arrest to spraypaint a menacing message or buy and put qurans in a toilet or throw a molotov cocktail through a shop window.

That story will appear at the bottom of page 7b.

That's if the Journal-Sentinel even has 7 pages anymore. It appears to be getting thinner and thinner.

A few months ago, they were giving the Sunday paper away at Woodman's - and they were having trouble doing that.

Hence the only ones who still subscribe are old liberals. The paper caters to them.

Look at the way the Charlotte Observer described a hate crime that was proven to be a hoax.

So, the crime may be the use of taxpayer funds to create and disseminate hate propaganda. Sheer sadism.
